Report #2 promises that every figure can be recalculated the same way. Here is what you need to verify that: what each number measures, over how many cases, and with which filter.
There are two kinds of number. Period numbers — sign-ups, scans, queries, environment — cover August 1 to September 30, 2026. Configuration numbers — photoperiods, devices, sensors, light and substrate — are a snapshot from October 4, the day the report was run, just as in #1. None of them is modified afterwards: if an error turns up, it gets corrected below with a date.
The cuts in the report do not share a denominator: each one is calculated over the zones that filled in that field. These are the bases for each section.
| What | Base | How it is counted |
|---|---|---|
| Members | 1,310 | Accounts with a verified email, not anonymous and active, created before October 1, 2026 Argentine time. The automated accounts the app stores create when reviewing each release are excluded. Same filter as #1: recalculated today, July still gives 740. |
| Active members | 466 in September | Members who logged in at least once during the month. The method changes from #1, which looked at the date of the last login and therefore missed anyone who had logged in again after the cut-off. With the new method July gives 303 (#1 published 306), so the series is comparable. |
| Active zones | 1,555 | Zones marked as active at the time of the snapshot. 1,764 were created in total; the difference is zones deleted or abandoned during sign-up. |
| Photoperiods | 440 | Light cycles configured and active. 435 belong to active zones: that is the base for the cut by stage (308 in vegetative and 127 in flowering) and for the regional panel. |
| Light setups | 46 distinct | Unique combinations of light hours and dark hours. The chart shows the seven most used, covering 378 zones; the other 39 combinations add up to 62 zones and are grouped. |
| Cycle carried out | 116 of 225 | Of the 225 active zones with a day longer than 24 hours, in 116 the platform switches the main light on and off; in 66 the light is in manual mode (run by the grower or by a timer of their own) and 43 do not have a main light registered yet. On 24-hour days the proportion is 80 of 205. |
| Fixtures | 624 across 131 zones | Declared by the grower in My Lab. Technology is counted per fixture and not per zone: a zone can have two technologies, and counting it in both would inflate the total. |
| Power under a photoperiod | 130.5 kW across 110 zones | Sum of the declared power of the zones that also have an active photoperiod, out of 166.5 kW declared by the 131 zones. It is power in zones with a photoperiod configured, not necessarily switched by the platform (see “Cycle carried out”). |
| Devices | 677 active | Devices registered and active. The mode (photoperiod, sensor, timer or no rule) is the one configured on each on the day of the snapshot. “No rule on the platform” does not mean off: pumps are run from the irrigation programs, which are a separate module, and many lights are run by a timer of their own. |
| Climate devices | 188 | Ventilation, extraction, scheduled extraction, air intake, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, heaters and cooling. |
| Sensors | 298 | Registered sensors. A single unit measures several things, so the bars in “what the network measures” add up to more than 298. |
| Substrate | 120 zones | Zones with a substrate described in My Lab. 112 entered the base medium and 104 the level of biological activity. |
| Plant scans | 828 | Health-mode scans made between August 1 and September 30. The category comes from the main finding the model returned, grouped by keyword, with the same rules as #1. 38 returned no finding and are counted separately. |
| Deficiencies | 373 | Scans whose main finding mentions a deficiency or shortage and not a pest or a fungus. Of those: 112 name a single nutrient, 240 name more than one and 21 do not specify which. The nutrient bars count mentions, not scans. |
| Pests | 63 | Scans whose main finding mentions a pest or a fungus. Thrips, whitefly and aphids are grouped because on their own they do not reach the minimum of five cases. |
| Sticky traps | 164 across 88 zones | Trap photos analyzed during the period. The number published is the insect counted, not the photo. |
| AI queries | 1,575 executions | Every time the assistant executed a tool to answer. The text of the conversations is neither read nor classified: the category comes from the tool name. “Propose a change” groups every tool that prepares a change for the grower to confirm; with that same rule, #1 gives 81 of 1,538. |
| Environment days | 29,411 across 156 zones | Complete days with all three bands calculated (ideal, warning and critical), between August 1 and September 30. It covers 99.9% of the days with a configured range. 100 days in which the same zone was calculated twice — as a whole day and also split into light and dark — were discarded; the split version was kept. |
| Same zones | 42 | Zones with environment data in both windows, #1’s and #2’s. It is the comparison whose composition does not change: the whole-network average also moves because new zones come in. |
None of these subsets is a random sample of the network. Whoever connects sensors, describes their room in My Lab or uses the scanner is, almost by definition, whoever grows more methodically. The percentages describe that group, not necessarily the 1,555 active zones.
Every number in the report comes from a query saved and versioned alongside the document, so it can be run again and return the same result. We do not publish them raw because they expose the internal schema of the database without adding anything for the reader; if you need to reproduce a particular number, write to us using the form in the footer and we will send you the query.
Any correction made after publication is recorded here, with a date and with the old number in plain sight.
